Mailbox

we have a community mail box for 8 or more houses, its all locked up so we have all our own keys. Our neighbors unscrewed it from the sidewalk this morning and were going to move it down the street a few feet. Isn’t that illegal?

Why would you want to make a Federal case out of this. What is a few feet going to make. I would guess the guy has a good reason to move it, why not ask. May be it makes it hard for him to get in his drive or mow the lawn, could be a hundred reasons, why not just ask.

I’am worried.please help me,open my mailbox.

i have those little locked mailboxes in my community.but i dont want to have to drive to the post office everytime i send a letter.so how do i send one from my community?

There should be a dropbox in the main office

Our cul-de-sac has one of those big plastic boxes where everyone’s mail is put and then you have to have a key to open your slot thinger. Someone thought they were funny and fooled around with ours and now our key won’t even go into the lock. What should we do? Do we contact the authories or US mail service? Do we just call a locksmith?

You call the postal service. Messing with a mailbox "any mailbox" is a felony

Ive already moved in but the previous tenants did not return their key so the post office has to change the locks. This should’ve been handled before I moved in, Im not getting any mail. Ive already had issues with the leasing office but I really like the apartment. What can I do? Is there any legal action I can take?

I would call the corporate office of the property management company that owns that property.

Will I have to wait longer, or will I receive the mail faster since the p.o. box will be located at my local post office? Also, if I receive mail that requires a signature, will the post office hold it until I pick it up in person, or deliver it to my home address?

Last but not least, does the post office change locks between customers? Thanks

You may get your mail earlier in the day if you have a PO Box. Normally all box mail is sorted before 9:00 AM. So if your letter carrier delivered your mail to your house at 1:00PM you would get it 4 hours earlier. Many post offices also have 24 hour lobby hours, so you can retrieve your mail at any time of the day. If you have a letter that requires a signature, they PO will leave a slip in your PO Box, and you can retreive it at the window during regular business hours.

We’re looking for something we can attach to a brick post. We don’t want one that locks.

Selena- *gets up and goes to her desk and starts writing Nick a letter, then she sneaks out & puts it in his mailbox then sneaks back in*
*technically its the same day but, the Next day*
Nick- *wakes up and looks at his clock, its 6:00 p.m.*::whoa I slept all day::
*goes downstairs*
Mrs. Jonas- *starting dinner* well good mor-, aft-, evening sleepy head
Nick- *kinda giggles, hugs her*good evening mom
Mrs. Jonas- someone had a long night, are you hungry

Mrs. Jonas- *makes him a sandwich and they talk some more*
Nick- thanx mom *heads up stairs with it*
Mrs. Jonas- oh and before I forget *pulls out a letter* this came for you
Nick- *takes it* thanx mom *goes upstairs locking the door behind him, sits on his bed* ::I know its from her::

Hey I was wondering where can I get you know those mailbox’s with a keyhole that only the postman can open to install in my apartment and what is it called.

I live in montreal any help would be appreciated.

In the USA, I’ve contacted the local Post Office to install those for security reasons. Tenants generally have to pay $10 at start-up for a key, but the USPS pays to install the unit itself. Hope this helps!
