Contact the police immediately.

I'm with the others... if there is any possible way move or at the least have your boyfriend or another male friend move in with you.

He or his friends have already committed an act of vandalism and the police can begin a file in case anything else happens. Also, having the cops speak to him may chill things out if he's aware that you're not going to take it lying down.

Other than that your best bet is to totally ignore him and his friends. They'll eventually get tired of it. Your sister should not be home alone if at all possible.

If you can afford it you may want to look at having an alarm system installed, if nothing else put sturdy chain locks on every door and make sure all your windows are secure.

Have you considered getting an indoor dog? You don't need a big or mean dog... even a small dog is a great alarm! A dachsund will bark his freaking head off if he hears anyone near your house!

Make sure you contact the police and let them know about the trouble you're having.

Good luck!
References :
Move move move!! File a police report and get the hell out of there. Even if you have to break a lease. Better break a lease than have something terrible happen to you or your sister.
References :
Yep, I agree with the last response. If at all possible, I would move. This guy sounds like TROUBLE. You should probably call the police just to document the harassment and ask them for advice on how to follow up.But if u just talked to the guy and he slashed your tires, what's he gonna do if the police show up. However, you cannot be intimidated by the psycho guy, so you have to call the cops. But, if you must stay, have a security system installed, dogs that will bark, etc. Maybe it's not a bad time to spend some time at your boyfriend's place.
References :
About a year ago, I went to my local post office and asked about regulations for mounting my new mailbox. I received a copy of one of their forms, PS4056 (The carrier leaves one of these with your mail when something is wrong with your mailbox, your mounting solution or both). They also gave me a photocopy of a handout that lists instructions for "Curbside Mailbox Installation" and "Accessibility of the Mailbox".

Reading through both of them, I noted that the photocopied handout reads "The mounting of the box can be as varied as your imagination, but should be able to withstand the elements and daily use." The form reads "Post must be neat and of adequate strength and size."

If you want to do something very creative (one of my neighbors actually has a statue of Disney's Goofy holding their mailbox) but would feel better knowing that you won't get in trouble, visit your local post office and ask for anything they have in print regarding mounting your mailbox. More than likely they'll give you the same or similar paperwork. Good luck!
References :
i would move. seriously. no matter how much it doesn't seem like an option.

failing that, i'd get a bunch of big scary dogs, have your boyfriend and lots of other big strong males over a lot, have double locks on my doors, definitely not have little sis play outside, pay for a burglar alarm system that relays alarms to a company that checks in/ calls the police if the alarm is triggered, and even potentially get a gun (and i'm very anti-guns).

but who wants to live like that? i would really seriously find a way to sell the house and move. or move in with your boyfriend. or relatives. or anything else except staying where you are. it's not fair, but it's not worth the risk.
References :
Go to the post office. Besides making sure there is enough postage on it, there probably are customs forms you will need to fill out since you are including the book.
And it will go faster if sent by air mail, so will need to be marked for that.
References :
where i come from one is for local and intrastate (meaning within the state) the other is for interstate (meaning other states) and overseas and then there is yet another for parcels or thick large letters which would not go through the other 2 and has a larger opening.
References :
R

You need to take it to the post office so you'll be sure there is enough postage on it. It goes by the weight and you'd just have to guess how much to put on it.
References :
No not for local city or state but if you live in a sub division they might have a law that says what color you can paint it.
