I put the letter in the wrong mailbox at the post office?

I put a letter that I intended to be First Class USPS Mail, with two first class stamps on it, in the Express Mail box at the post office by mistake instead of the regular mailbox. Will the post office send it back to me or send it to the destination via first class mail?

They will get it sorted out and it will get to where it needs to be delivered.

Hopefully, they’ll send it to the right destination. I’m sure they sort the mail after they get it from the mailbox. Good Luck!

Hopefully someone will figure it out and send it first class. But who knows with government workers.
