Why are several mailboxes placed on one side of the street even though some people would have to cross a hwy?

In rural areas, why are several mailboxes placed on one side of the street even though some people have to cross a busy highway to get mail?

The mail truck can go past this location once, rather than having to turn around and come back for the mailboxes on the other side.
This cuts the delivery time down considerably.

They dont care about you and me they just care about the mail-person that delivers the mail so that they dont have to get out of their mail trucks…….
