I live in a rural neighborhood, where it’s so rural that all the roads are dirt and my mailbox is 2 miles away.
I like to run so once in a while I jog the 2 miles to the mailbox for exercise. But when I passby a certain neighbor (about 1/2 mile away from my house) he gets in his truck with his buddy or son and follows me…. honking and yelling.
Anyways he doesn’t know me cause I jog covered up due to my allergy. But I do know him… he’s the epitome of white trash with gestapo sprinked in. He’ll report anyone for anything. My dad bought a property that was just next to his and started doing some light construction on it so he can flip it. Anyways, the nutjob started circling the property taking photos and yelling at my dad that the construction was illegal. He even erected a 5 foot sign claiming that there was an illegal construction going on, which it wasn’t.
He’s a super psycho who thinks he owns the entire neighborhood… he once reported a guy for "speeding" and was beaten to a bloody pulp by the guy he reported. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
He also erected another sign because he had a money dispute with someone and posted the guy’s name, court case #, etc. He’s batty.
Anyways, I’m running and he honks and gets out of his truck and yells at me to stop. I just ignored him and kept running. I’m pretty sure if I had stayed there would’ve been a physical altercation.
So what should I do about this psycho? Just keep ignoring him? Or report him? Or kick his ass??????
He obviously has some issues. With this in mind, I would simply avoid him. You could notify the local pd, who could talk to him, but sometimes that only stirs the pot further. I would first attempt to avoid this subject. If this means jogging elsewhere, then by all means jog elsewhere. Not necessarily fair, but you avoid a potential conflict. If things continue to escalate call the police, if that doesn’t work obtain a restraining order.
If it were me, I’d report him to the police department. I wouldn’t fight him unless he attacked me.
